Built on over 1000 acres in Southbury CT, Heritage Village is one of the largest and oldest 55+ Retirement Community on the East Coast.

There are 2,580 units in the complex. They range in size from 928 sq ft for a 1 bedroom condo to 1,716 sq ft for a 3 bedroom unit.

Many of the units have garages located within close proximity of the condos. As they are advertised as an Active Adult complex, there are numerous facilities and activities to help avoid boredom.

  • The complex is criss-crossed with walking trails

  • several pools, with the main pool being Olympic size and heated
  • There's a health Club
  • An activities Center
  • A woodworking center
  • Several restaurants from a sandwich shop to 5  star quality.

 

There are 2 golf courses within the Heritage Village complex. The Private Heritage Village Country Clubis a Championship caliber golf course, having hosted the Nabisco Dinah Shore LPGA Golf Tournament for many years.

The semi-private Pomperaug golf course is less challenging but equally as pleasant to play.

The Olive Tree Restaurant at the Heritage Village Country Club is a full facility restaurant and does allow non members access.

The Meeting House Inn, located within the complex is also a highly rated restaurant, and was once the family home of noted pianist and comedian, Victor Borge.

 

There are 12 different style condos to select from at the village and as the complex is so large, there is always something available.

There are currently 106 condos for sale at the Heritage Village Adult Condo Community. They range in price from $329,000 for a 1716, sq ft, 3 bedroom Berkshire model to $ 55,000 for a 2 bedroom, 1078 sq ft, Ethan Allen short sale property. There are 13 condos under contract in the Heritage Village Adult Condo Community.

Kim it really is a special place, and their maintenance staff really keeps all parts manicured.

Captain, Wayne, thanks for stopping.

Hey A & P, it really is a place for over 55'ers that will offer them a lot. A call for service gets answered quickly, they have restaurants that deliver all types of food, and there's always someone at the activities center. No good reason to feel bored or lonely.

George, I just happen to have a couple of listings available in that complex. No snow to shovel or grass to mow.
