Okay, so personally this is exciting news to me. (I know, doesn't take much...) It appears that rent prices are increasing at a really fast rate. (Gee, didn't you KNOW this was going to happen with all of those foreclosed homes and all of those families needing a place to live!) The media, for quite a while has been making a case for renting over homeownership which is simply not "The American Way!" While we, as Realtors have been pushing for the opposite. Of course it's a good time to buy, prices are down, interest rates are down, etc.
That being said, this INAMN NEWS ARTICLE restates the obvious, or rather says that is finally hapenning now instead of later. This will definitely drive the sales back into a respectable amount! YEA! I for one cannot wait to help all of those folks who were displaced by bad loans or losing jobs back into the "WONDERFUL WORLD OF HOME OWNERSHIP!"
