Fred Carver, Realtor®, Remax Victoria Gets My Gold Star
Sometimes this worldwide web, google juiced vehicle can get a little confusing. Long tails, short tails, wagging tails... the internet can become a mucky mire of key words and search words. I remember when "tag" was part of the phrase "tag, your it!". That was way more fun than the present "tag word" definition. It all starts to sound like "blah, blah, blah".
One of my heros here on Active Rain is Fred Carver, Realtor® with REMAX, Victoria, B.C. Fred is always thinking. He's on his A game. Fred has made a point of figuring out the ins and outs of the internet and search engines, to better raise his profile. Make no bones about it, Fred's post are continuously showing up #1 on Google searches. He attributes a lot of his success to Katerina Gassett, but I know that it's Fred's inquisitive mind and his no fear approach to trying out new things that fuels his success.
Can you imagine my surprise and delight, when I received a phone call from Fred a while back. We had been commenting back and forth on Active Rain, and he knew I was dabbling with video. He was the first person to suggest I do a tour of one of my staged homes with my new Flip camera. We chatted a lot about technology, blogging, Active Rain and the new possibilities with video. Without Fred's ideas and support, I may never have posted my first walk-through video. Thanks, Fred!
Fast forward to this morning. I received an email from Fred, suggesting that I add the tag words "Home Staging Vancouver, B.C." to my posts. He'd noticed I was leaving these out, and wanted to remind me of the importance of ranking high on Google. I was really touched that Fred would take the time to first, read my posts, second, comment on them, and third, send me input and advice.
I know that Fred has started several groups here on Active Rain, my favourite group being Canadian REMAX (for real estate agents, mortgage brokers, home stagers etc.). Check out and subscribe to the group - it's a fun, friendly, diverse group, led by my favourite Victoria, B.C. Real Estate Agent, Fred Carver.
