leaving comments

Is anyone else here on active rain having problems with leaving comments. I cant seem to leave a comment on anything. All i do is get an error message saying that i cant leave the post blank.....but its not blank at all. Active rain is very confusing and not user friendly. Also, what good does it do to collect these points? Im not sure what it does. Does it have something to do with google? Any help will be useful.
