Real Estate Prices

The best part about the information age is how easily we can find almost anything we want to see. If you type into Google almost any random combination of words you seem to find something that fits those exact words. You don't even have to spell it right. I personally believe that Google is the smartest thing ever created, next to yours truly. So what could I find if I typed in the seemingly random words of coaster, real, roller, and estate? Let's find out.

What do you know, the folks at Speculative Bubbleactually made a video of American House prices, adjusted for inflation, from 1890 to today and choreographed it to a computer generated roller coaster. How cool is that? God bless the google. As you can see, me being me in all of my kindness and wisdom, I have included said video for all of you kids out there who are interested in the economic ride of your lifetime. I've actually watched it 15 times.



If that ride had a couple of barrel rolls, and a loop or two and I would so ride it. I just would really like to know what was coming after 2007, because that ride is about to get massively intense.

My favorite part about this video is that they didn't even attempt to speculate the future. The fine folks at Speculative Bubble knew that by trying to predict the future probably would only get them into trouble. Imagine if on this blog every day I told you about all the possibilities as though they were fact. How mad would you be if I told you the values of your homes would continually rise and they dropped off quicker than a lemming off of a cliff? Probably pretty mad.

Unfortunatly for us, the future is unwritten, as we learned from the Back To The Future trilolgy, and I do not yet have the ability to control it just by writing it out in one of my many notebooks. I am working on that ability, but it has not yet been perfected. Once I have it down, I promise, I will help make all of my readers very prosperous.
