A Day in the Life of a Moving Organizer - How Long Does it Take to Pack a Kitchen?
Well, there are kitchens and then there are kitchens. I've been in kitchens that are so large, it takes 5 people, three full days to pack it (remember our packing days are usually seven hours per day - so, 5 crew x 7 hours = 35 hrs x 3 days = 105 man hours). And, I've been in kitchens that take one person 4 hours to pack!
But, on average, many of the kitchens we pack take two people, 7 hours or a total of 14 man hours. On yesterday's job, our biggest task was to first go through all the cabinets to put like things together. And, these cabinets just kept on giving... and giving, an giving....LOL. They were REALLY deep, so of course, anything the homeowner stored in them got pushed back when new items were introduced :)
Love it when I come in on budget.... it's really helpful for repeat referrals. This is the ninth project I've been referred to by this particular Realtor. I've invited him to join AR and hope he accepts the offer.
