I googled Things to do in Orange County THIS WEEKEND and chose Festivals and Fairs. There were many other things to choose from. There's a plethora of events and activities at any given time.
What we in Orange County DON'T WANT to do on a Memorial Day Weekend is to go to Disneyland, Knott's, Magic Mountain, or any other theme park that will be overcrowded, lines a mile long. Disneyland is a personal favorite of mine, and my favorite day to go is Wednesday. Leave the weekends, especially the holiday weekends, to the tourists.
However, I digress, back to Festivals and Fairs. 51 Entries for Festivals and Fairs! From Barrel Tasting to Lightning in a Bottle to Strawberry Festival to Scottish Festival. Too bad I gave up drinking; lots of opportunity for that!
Whatever you want to celebrate, it's there. Pow Wows. Veteran's Celebrations. And of course, there is the Disney Princess Fantasy Faire at Disneyland. Oh, before I forget, the link!
And that is not all! Oh No, that is not all (Dr. Seuss Reference) There are shows, picnics, parties. Just Monday, I've been invited to two picnics and a party. And a few others, these are just the ones that got my attention. The Velocity Singles are having several get-togethers - I think 2 parties - this weekend; cumlinating with the Memorial Day Picnic.
And my personal favorite on weekends that I don't have immediate commitments? You will find me at 7 AM hiking in some of my favorite spots!
