Hi Sharon~ It's become popular here due to water restrictions.  Many neighborhoods in the area are only allowed to water every other day.

Hey Teral~ I wonder if the humidity makes a difference.  We have a very dry climate.  (Although lately, I think EVERYONE has had a LOT of precipitation!)
