What I Like Best About Living In Rockville Centre NY

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with Century 21 Sherlock Homes

I like living in Rockville Centre NY.  No I mean I really like living in Rockville Centre NY.  I like the block I live on, I like my house.  I like that I am about eleven blocks from work.  I like the Village.  It's family friendly.  I like that they do not roll up the sidewalks at 9 p.m.

I like the great Zagat rated restaurants and really cool little shops.  I like that I bump into the Mayor at the supermarket and she has sneakers on.  I actually like that the mayor happens to be a she.

I guess by now you are starting to figure out that I like where I have been planted.  I didn't start out here but I intend to end here.  Home is where your heart is and my heart is here.

The best thing I like about living in Rockville Centre is that if I am in a New York State of mind I can be in the city in 30 minutes.  Dirty dogs from a vendor and amazing museums.  On the flip side I can be at the Atlantic Ocean in 20 minutes.  A quick run down Long Beach Road and there I am, at peace with the world and just smelling and hearing my sweetie, the Atlantic.

Days like today remind me why I need to be thankful for where I am.  So the question of the day is why do you like where you live.

Gerry I have already figured out what you love about Gettysburg but post away.

David I was blown away by the Pacific when we were in Ca many years ago.  We drove down the Pacific Coast Hwy from San Francisco but I never got to put my toes in.  It's on my bucket list.

Liz, I wouldn't give up living here in South Central Pennsylvania for anything...I'm a little farther from some things than you are but I can be in Manhattan in 3 hours, Philadelphia and Baltimore in 1.5 hours, Washinton in a shade over 2...All by car...Heck, I can get to Gerry in about 45-50 minutes, which, now that I think about it, I just oughta do one of these days...Enjoy your day.

Your right Ernie you are really pretty centrally located.  Washington and Baltimore are further for me but Philly is a jump on Amtrak and your there.

Well, I'm a long ways from any ocean (which I love too BTW), but I'm very close to all that the Big City of Dallas has to offer.  And, in 30 minutes I can be on the lake floating in the boat with Big Guy.  We have everything you can imagine here in Allen, but still have lots of "Open Space" to balance it all with.  I still wanna visit your Burb though Liz!  You make it sound wonderful :)
