Boulder Homes - Residents in Boulder County Love to Ride!

Bike RidingBoulder County offers a healthy lifestyle and many opportunities for the young and young at heart to stay active.  One of the most popular recreational activities is bike riding.  There are literally 100's of miles of linked trails all over Boulder County offering a wide variety of levels from an  easy relaxing ride for recreational riders to a rugged, rigorous ride for the more hard core types.

Something new and exciting is coming to Boulder on June 11th.  What is being dubbed as "the largest urban bike park in America" the Valmont Bike Park is scheduled to open at precisely 10:00 a.m. on June 11th.  Start planning now to attend the grand opening!

This new, highly-anticipated bike park will offer 40 acres of off road bike riding.  What a great addition to the many bike trails which already exist in Boulder... this new, state-of-the-art park will offer a tot track, a learning loop, kid's play area, big dirt jumps,  heavy-duty pump tracks and on-site restrooms.

Perhaps you're thinking about moving to Boulder County?  Here in Boulder County, a healthy lifestyle isn't just a choice.... it's a way of life.

Sounds like an excellent addition for Boulder, Vickie!  That is a great photo and although I don't ride anymore I couldn't help but think how much my grandkids would love the Valmont Bike Park!

Vickie,

You look absolutely stunning on your bike.  I think you should start omitting the number of years you have been married from your blogs!  Know one would be any the wiser!

Mary and Chuck, it should be a great addition.  I definitely want to go check it out.

Judith, I'll have to check it out on opening day and see if I can get some more pictures to do a follow up to this post.

Krin and Pat, I don't do near the bike riding I used to.  A few summers back I put over 500 miles on my bike over the summer.  I need to get serious about riding again.  Such great excercise.  My bike is a hybrid good for trails or street biking.

Joan, we do have great weather here.  We are spoiled by so many days of sunshine!
