Luxury Real Estate Marketing: The Luxury of Succulents

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with Napa Consultants DRE00893924

One of the aspects of living in California is our awareness of water conservation.  When it comes to plants and flowers a lot of attention is given to planting gardens that are drought tolerant . Succulents store water in their leaves and do well in arid climates.. One of our favorite succulent plants is the rose like Echeveria pictured above.  This plant is native to Mexico and Northwestern South America, and it was named after the 18th century Mexican botanical artist, Atanasio Echeverria y Godoy.

Alexandra,

Those succulents could be a painting on the wall! They are very, very pretty. I learned something new too, because I didn't know that they conserve water in their leaves. I really like how the bright green leaves are surrounded by the pink ones. It almost looks like they could be used in a wedding bouquet or a table arrangement for an elegant dinner party.

I love things that are unique and these are certainly distinctive! They remind me of you and Ron.

Patricia

Ron & Alexandra,  Funny that your comment came in just as I was admiring your photo of these succulents.  I know someone here in Boca that makes them in beautiful glass vases for inside the home.  I think they're lovely.

What a gorgeous pot with succulents-- I have several of these growing in pots, but sometimes it's hard to keep them going through the summer.  Hard to believe it can be too hot for succulents here-- but they almost do better at the beach.

I believe it.  We had a friend who lived in Las Vegas, and she grew her tomatoes in a shaded area there.  We all have tricks up our sleeves, A

I have not thought or heard of that term succulant plants in years!  Back in 1973 when my family took a trip to Los Angeles CA the friend we stayed with pointed out these plants in the landscape.  She told me you could just stick the plant in the ground and it would grow, so I collected many samples and brought them back to OK to grow.  We did not do too well with them although my Mother kept the Jade plant alive for years!  Now days you would never be allowed to fly with plants!  Wonderful post

Marilyn,

Jade plants are definitely that way.  These plants can be planted from one of their little buds that they put out, you just separate them, and plant.  They are wonderful.  Thanks for the comment. A
