Time for a New Car!

The time has come to start shopping for a new-to-me car.  I've got an older Honda Civic that I love--it's virtually problem-free, gets good gas mileage, and still looks nice.  However, S.O.'s car is starting to be on its last legs and the air conditioner is no longer "performing the function for which it is intended," just to throw some real estate jargon in there!

And so we're thinking about him taking over my car and me getting a newer car for my real estate (which of course I am very excited about, as my Honda still has a tape player in it, for pete's sake!)  I've been eyeing the Mazda3s (zoom! zoom!) for years now--I just love the sporty look they have, and they're still a small sedan and so will get decent gas mileage (no way am I giving up economical in the days of almost $4/gallon gas!)  Anybody drive one of these and can give any feedback?  I'd love to hear what you think of it...or if you have any other recommendations I've love to hear those, too!

I'd say get yourself a Lexus - I used to be a business manager for Lexus - and I'm brainwashed. They really are sweet cars though - such a nice ride! Take a test drive in one and you'll see what I'm talking about!!

Hey Emily--I'm sure they are awesome cars...just not sure they're in the ole budget!  :)
