What is LOCALISM??
Are you using Localism?
I am new to ActiveRain and I would like to know more about LOCALISM. What are the best sources for training and "know how" for this free website from ActiveRain?
Are you seeing any success from Localism?

Good question and I would like to know what it really means and what it does for us and our blogs..
I think that the Localism.com site per se is no longer being supported by Active Rain. The explanation I was given is that they found that these posts were getting better SEO if they were on the Active Rain site (though I'm not really sure I understand that fully). You can code your posts as hyper-local whe you post them.
Odd, I had lost my grandfathered rainmaker status...I got a call last week to come back to AR after just plain being too busy..and I asked the caller if that would unlock my Localism account, which was my favorite place to post. He said yep, that would do it..and now I find no Localism...at least one I can post to. I found hyperlocal, and am going in to see if Localism copied the photo I just posted. I would like it if the new owners would reopen Localism .. I thought it was great, and got contact off of it.
