What makes you happy on a Sunday? It's not the grandiose things. It's not even things. What makes me happy is that I feel as if I'm getting my sanity back, coming out of a fog. You know, girl stuff. Getting over a relationship gone bad.
For instance, this morning, I slept until I woke up; no alarm clock. THAT makes me happy.
That first cup of coffee.... Aaah. Bliss!
And reflecting on the little things that make me happy. Like the smiley face on the red light as I leave my neighborhood. Yes, as I'm sitting, waiting for the light to turn green, there's a smiley face. : )
Today, I read my Bible, read "Questions are the Answer" by Michael Price for an hour, cleaned, did laundry and tidied. I find it amusing that having a clean house makes me happy. Soon, I shall have a housecleaner again, and that will make me even happier! A clean house without efforting on my part.
I'm meeting with a girlfriend tonight for dinner, then going to church. Tomorrow is Memorial Day picnics. Notice the "S" plural. And a long time (Never say old) friend is coming to visit. Haven't seen him in a couple of years; I've known him since my Army days. That's (mumble mumble) years ago.
It's been a busy, productive day. How are you spending your Sunday? What makes you happy on a Sunday?
