Mom, Something's Different About the Park Today - Speechless Sundays
Civil War soldiers were not something my son expected to see while riding his bike through the park even if it was the day for the Battle of Costa Mesa, our annual Civil War reenactment.
He was rather impressed by the whole spectacle.
Christine - that's so cute and I'm sure your son thought it would be great if every day there was a Civil War Reenactment! When m son was young, he loved that kind of stuff and we must have visited the Intrepid in NYC's harbor about 20 times when he was a kid! Nice way to spend part of your holiday weekend!

I'm sure this wasn't something he planned on seeing. They are quite a bit bigger than him and carrying tose big things. :)

That is to cute Christine... He looks really surprised... My great great great grandfather actually fought in the civil war... He was in the Indiana 65th infantry for the Union.. I actually found his war papers on Ancestory.com.. :)

Christine, your guys might have a ball at some of the Civil War battlegrounds where they do reenactments. Kids of all ages stuff.
My family and I were at Willamette National Cemetery when the F16s flew over there out of respect, it was so cool, every stopped until they were gone.
