I've got a few more ideas...

During my first home sale in Maryland (I am licensed in VA and MD), I was fortunate enough to work with a lender and a settlement officer who helped me close a deal from contract radification to move in for my client in 14 days  Count them 14 days.  Wow, was it great.

The three of us emailed everyday, kept each other informed about the progress and we got it done.  It was a pleasure working with these two successful and powerful women.

I was so impressed with their professionalism and commitment to getting the job done that I am looking forward to working with them again.

My VA agent has a 8/5x11" booklet they handout to clients who are in the buying process from after the contract radificaiton. It outlines, a checklist if you will, of all the steps that usually occur after the said radification.

I took the book and modified it to fit MD and my broker here in MD.  I am getting in-put from Bia and Mary Beth (the two new partners I want to associte myself with) and we are now working on putting together a "First Time-Buyer" seminar.  Yes, believe it or not there are "first time buyers" out there, that need our help.

As bad as the media portrays the market, the interest rate is likely to be lowered again.  Once lowered again, I think you will see people start to jump into the market.  And, once the feds lower it again, which will put rates for people with excellent credit below the 6% mark, I think buyers are going to scoff at the media and jump back in.

You may like to list home but I get a great satisfication from dealing with buyers.  There's something about handing them those keys at the settlement table that makes me feel like I've done a good thing.  I work hard at finding homes that suit people.  Sure, listing homes is great.  Let someone else schlep the buyers around.  However, that's the fun of it.  Meeting new people, forming relationships.  Having the passion and moving toward the goal: settlement.

Okay, so I digress, something I do at 5 AM!!
