They Gave Their Lives So That We May Live Our Lives in Freedom
I couldn't express myself any better than Karen Winters did. Many of us look forward to the three day weekend that kicks off the beginning of summer and if you do please remember to thank a Veteran and hug someone who has lost a loved one in the military.
Today we honor the men and women who gave their lives in battle so that we may live our lives in freedom. Their families are remembering them by name. We as a nation shall remember them by one name - Hero.
As we enjoy our "first holiday of summer," our "three day weekend," our picnics, ballgames and family gatherings, let us pause to remember those for whom this day is dedicated. Take a moment to think of those families for whom every day memorial day.
May God keep those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for their country.
And may God bless the families they left behind.
