The Woodlands riverwalk The Woodlands waterway is not only a place where you can take a ride in a water taxi, you can actually rent a kayak and enjoy the lake to yourself. It's a great idea for the family fun weekend.

River Row Boat rental

Located on the River Row on the Waterway kayak rental open from 9 AM to 6 PM every day except Wednesdays. You can rent a two seater kayak or a single kayak.

Rental is $15-20 per hour and $5 each additional hour.

Be prepared for some exercising and do not forget to put a sunscreen on.

life jakets

Life jackets are mandatory and for every kayak rider.

Anna: I didn't even know this was in the Woodlands. I'm from Splendora and remember when the Woodlands was developed! Thats a neat looking waterway.

What a cool community activity! Are you going to post pics of your trip down the waterway? The photo reminds me that we need to get Katie the Schnauzer Puppy a new life jacket for boating this year.

Gwynn, This is such a coincidence...I just had a conversation today at that kayak rental place that kayaking is very popular in Austin ;) The Woodlands has become so beautiful.

Tammy, actually after I dropped my camera and it stopped working I am not taking more chances with the new one that I really like. I will take pictures when I am on the water Taxi.

Sally, yes that's a dog, and I was asking why the life vest, dogs can swim, but they say it's a policy. I am wondering if they have cat vests lol
