We attempted to go to the Memorial Day service at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery here in San Diego, but the line of cars was about four miles long, so we wound up going to SeaWorld instead. While most people enjoy seeing the big animals — killer whales, dolphins, polar bears, walruses — I kind of enjoy the smaller things, such as these anemones: Today we also got to see the California spiny lobster, which usually is hiding in a dark cave since these lobsters are nocturnal: Males can weigh up to 26 pounds, and females can carry 680,000 eggs. Just thought you'd like to know. Of course, it would not be a trip to SeaWorld without at least taking a peak at Shamu, of which they have several: After your visit to SeaWorld, if you would like to buy a home close to the park or anywhere in San Diego County, please feel free to contact me! ♪♫♫♫♪ Recent blog posts:
Memorial Day at SeaWorld San Diego
That sealife is so colorful....almost looks artificial....great day in Wisconsin...80's.....have to send you two a great southwestern dip recipe...it disappeared at our BBQ in a minute !
Jim - My family and i went to Sea World and my kids loved it! I have been scuba diving for 19 years and have fun sharing with my daughters what i see when i dive. I have to admit that viewing it at Sea World is much less work than getting dressed in a dry suit and lugging a tank on my back!
Jim: How nice that so many graced the entrance of Fort Rosecrans National Cemetary in honor of our Military....Glad you had fun looking at the "Little Things", as well!
Hey Jim, I always think that the public should go swimming with Shamu but guess that would not work out to good. Wonder what that recipe is that Sally and David have.
I've always found anemones fascinating, Jim. Sounds like you enjoyed your Memorial Day. Nice photos, as always!
Memorial Day is all about the military personnel that keeps us safe !
