THE CHALLENGE OF THE 31 DAY CHALLENGE

Active Rain Camp Dallas

For those of you participating in the May 31 Day Challenge - today is a day that you have been shooting for. Blogging a post each and every day of May seems at first to be a easy challenge but as the day to day challenges of life strike, sometimes it isn't as easy as it seems.

For the most part I was successful. The only glitch that I had was during Active Rain Camp in Dallas. I had a closing the morning of camp, left the closing and went straight to Dallas. By the time I got into my hotel room, it was 10:30 and I only had a precious 30 minutes to post.

Luckily (or so I thought), I had already written the post just needed to log on and post it. The Hotel Internet was up and running and BAM, my beloved Active Rain site kept bumping me out. After many attempts, I had to quit and go to bed. I was majorly bummed because I had been successful in posting for 22 straight days.

By being prepared with pre-written material, this saved me many a days when life just took over and made things nuts. Isn't it funny how we will take the time to post no matter what is going on in life? A true addiction.

I am pleased that the challenge is over and will look forward to another one soon. I do know that the challenge made me much more dedicated to blogging and in being prepared and timely. If you have never been involved in a challenge - think about joining one. You will be stretched and pushed and in the end what you will gain will be valuable.

So to those of you in the challenge - Congratulations! We did it!

Paula I must admit that I've been a combination of a little busy and a little slack on my daily post. I missed the 31 Day Challenge, but I'm going to do a self challenge to get back on the saddle. Congrats to you because as you very well know, I've been there and done that with Karen's ultimate 30 day challenge months ago.

Paula, wasn't there something in the rules that stated if the site was down, you just needed to post another one?

I hope you get the points....and, yes, it was tough, but I also made a number of new friends and found some great writers. I also learned a lot! It was well worth it.

I am sorry you had a glitch, I think they will give you a pass on that one. I failed to know that my iPad doesn't work on AR for posting, so had to botch together a ridiculous post on my Droid on Sunday. Held it together with tape though and made it. Happily posted my last today.

You did comply with the challenge and Kerrie is sweet enough that I can't imagine she wouldn't give it to you. They know you had that one post up and ready. I know I was on vacation for two weeks of May and there was no way I could do those 31 days in a row. Maybe next time.
