Get Prepared For Those Long Tours

Snacks.  Water. Berries. Nuts.  Looks like I am all set to head to the beach.  However I am really heading out on an 8 hour tour with out of state relocation clients.  I had never met them before and only had a few days to sell them a multi-million dollar home...some with indoor pool pavilions and tennis courts.  How do I get them to focus on a property when they are tired and hungry?  The answer: by not letting their blood sugar levels drop.

After the first 3 showings...over 20,000 sf of interior showings we pulled over at a local college campus and I opened up my "chuck wagon"...my clients and I feasted on blue berries, spring water, pretzels, energy bars and yogurt.  AAfter a 10 minute break we were back in the car to head to the next 4 showings...almost 40,000 sf of property to walk through.

The point is that when you have a schedule and need to accomplish a lot in a short time (in this case I had them until 8:00 PM) you don't want to get off schedule for lunch or in this case even dinner.

So my advice...prepare snacks and keep your tour on schedule.

Good morning James. Good call on keeping sugar levels up. Never thought about it but sounds like a plan.

James, I'm riding with you! I have almost everything in my car to make sure no one is without what they need.

I am going to install a coffee maker that runs off the lighter next...or at least bring a Thermos filled with Joe!
