Memorial Dayseems to have so many different meanings for different people. I do have to admit that my understanding of what Memorial Day means has changed so much the older that I have gotten.
When I was in school, it was just a holiday. But as I have become wiser (Some might doubt that statement), the meaning for what this holiday represents has grown in magnitude.
This is a HUGE "THANK YOU"to all of the current service members and especially to those that have perished for me to enjoy the amazing life that I have. I get to wake up on a Colorado morning and see the bluest skies hugging the snow capped Rocky Mountains.
I get to get out and play golf and enjoy my time with friends without the fear of what truly lies outside our great country.
I get to enjoy my sons baseball games, eat at the restaurant that want, and I get to watch a Colorado Rockies Baseball game whenever I want (But right now I am not so sure I want to torment myself like that)!
We take for granted the amazing lives that we do get to live and now that my dad has passed, I wish I could have thanked him every time I talked to him for his service in Vietnam.
Without all of the blood, sweat and tears others have sacrificed for me, I am eternally grateful!
If you are a Vet on here.........from the bottom of my heart and the core of my soul "THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!!!!! I am humbled by you. Take Care,
