Craig, thank you for sharing Chris with us. Hope there was some really cool stuff on your wishlist. But really "ruby on rails"??? What the heck is THAT???
Gayle - thanks for joining in the welcome to chris, appreciate that so much :: BLiz - ditto that, let's hope to see Chris add to our subscribed to feeds soon! we'll keep nudging! :: Cyndi - after stability squared away, I look forward to seeing some smaller fixes as well as bigger wishlist items tackled... all in due time (ruby on rails is the web programming language used to create all the activerain pages)
We love Chris and he's been an amazing addition to AR! I heard you two all-stars were meeting up; honestly I think I'd get lost in your conversation!
Go Yankees!!!!
I love that you guys share all these people with us. It gaves us faces to put with the names, and is one more way of feeling closer to those who are in the backround.. but really those responsible for making AR tick. Thanks!
Why don't you do a post on your Active Rain Wish List. I would love to see what great ideas you have for that.
Lucky you Craig. I've passed that area several thousand times in the past 50 years, so I know where you've been. Today I was flying my plane over near Costco. Got to get you there when you're on vacation.
Back to the tech stuff, most of it is science fiction to me, but I love it. Some folks think a man my age is pretty cool with what I do know. Always looking to learn more, but at a slow pace.
I'll visit Chris's page soon.
Craig ~ Thanks, always great to find out who else is under the umbrella in Active Rain ~
Cool!!! Wish I had known you when I was in NYC last summer....would have looked you up, but that was before I found out about AR!
And Kerrie....what's this with the Go Yankees?! The Red Sox are where it's at! :)
Craig, thanks for introducing us to Craig. Checked out his blog and subscribed and can't wait to see all the goodies he has in store for us. I would have loved to meet up with you guys in person (I'm just north of NYC) but would have felt like I'm in a foreign land with all the geek talk. Maybe next time. Glad you got to give him your wish list and I'm counting on you to see that it all gets implemented. Just wondering when AR will get wise and hire you to join their Tech team.
Oh super cool Craig. So glad you're representing us. I will check out his blog. Very excited to have him on board.
I bet I would have been so bored with your conversation with Chris. LOL
But it is great to know that you approve of him - AR seems pretty solid lately!
Chris - thank you for putting this out! I will go over to say hello to Chris and I am excited to hear we have someone so dedicated and talented to work tweaking ActiveRain. Chris must be pretty darn smart to seek you out to discuss the tech behind the scenes ActiveRain stuff. From your wish list to the ActiveRain Gods ears!
Sounds like you had a great lunch. Thanks for keeping us up to date on the stability issue, it is a concern for many.
Thanks Craig for sharing..we all welcome Chris & look forward to his great skill to be added here...
❦ Craig, what a treat! Thanks for introducing us to Chris, and we all look forward to hearing more from him through his blogs!
Pamela
Kerrie - they'll have to tell you about how fun it was at the yankees game that they went to! j/k yanks are out of town :) as you know! did you go to any of the NYY@SEA games? :: Niki - awesomeness! :) :: David - shhh, I was thinking the same thing :: Ken/Leslye - some great people making AR run for all of us! :: Gene - I had thought of that too, perhaps soon :: Ken - you are doing great for not backing away from the 'tech stuff', can't wait til we eventually meet in person too :: Karen - you're going to raincamp when it comes right? :: Christine - last summer, that was you and me both hehe, activerain?? ;) :: Leah - we'll meetup soon too... everytime I drive past Suffern I think of you and Andre :) :: Debbie - give the people a voice :) :: Virginia - Chris is terrific, let's keep him happy so he can do some great things for us! :: Jeremy - thanks so much :: Barbara - planting some seeds so that when we get past all the urgent-crisis-types-of-probs, we can think about some enhancements! :: Tom - yes, frustrating when you go pear-shaped, but these guys realize it and are taking us out of that :: Ginny - glad I could help introduce him, I feel very confident in the AR staff we have supporting us! :: Cheryl - it is nice to have techie conversations once in a while! actually it was even a great three-way idea collaboration. Chris' wife Amanda was giving some really good suggestions too! :: Ilan - great thanks! :: Pamela - you're welcome, glad you came by to get to know about Chris
Craig,
Thanks for reaching out to get to know Chris and then sharing with us.
Thanks for introducing us, Craig. Nice picture of you, btw. I never realized you were so tall.
Heck yeah I went!!!! Reggie Jackson was there and I was about 10 feet from Granderson at one point.....sigh.....
Will have to go welcome Chris to the Activerain family!
Glad you and him got to meet.
I love your background. How cool is that? You are such an inspiration to many of us. Sharing all of your knowledge as in-depth as you do is not an easy task and I appreciate it. I'm so glad you got to spend time with Chris...I bet that was a wonderful lunch :)
Dear Craig-
Thanks for posting the NYC AR-up on the Group page. I am certain that one day it will be used frequently to everyone's benefit. I enjoy meeting folks as I travel.
Have a happy day -
Lynn
I will most certainly head over to see Chris and welcome him with virtual open arms...
