The 4th quarter 2010 Texas Housing Affordabliity Index (THAI) as reported by the Texas A&M Real Estate Center continues to show that Austin, TX is the least expensive city of the 5 major metropolitan areas (MSA's) in which First Time Homebuyers can buy a home in Texas compared to the Cities average median income.  The rankings are as follows:

AS OF 4TH QUARTER - 2010

Austin           1.30

Dallas           1.82

Fort Worth    2.30

Houston        1.62 

San Antonio  1.36
