Wow.... So with out a doubt we have pulled off our 20-year reunion! Thank you everyone for coming and we get the feeling that everyone had a blast! For starters Friday night at Malone's was a full house, people were in every corner of the bar and cameras flashing all night long. (Photos to be posted soon) Late night to the gambling boat where we had may more cocktails and crawled back to the hotel at about 4 or so. Next morning funny site to see, walking thru the hotel classmates hung over and all craving for food and water. After breakfast we packed up and went to the McCluer North for a short tour of the old stomping ground and then to the game for the Homecoming event McCluer North VS McCluer ( we won 21 to 14 ) the heat was on Literally, it was about 93 degrees and very sweaty . Getting excited for the Saturday night event so then we went back to the hotel to get ready. Watching Classmates come up all dressed up ready to party was fun at the sign in table; we had huggies, t-shirts and memory books to gift to our classmates. Most all were so appreciative and happy to be there, the ora was smiles and laughter. Jeannette and Jeff pulled this off with out a niche, we really did choose the very best classmates to hold responsible for this EVERY TEN YEARS ...LOL... It is a huge job and kudos goes to them for their outstanding effort in this project! Dinner was fantastic, Breaded and smothered Chicken, seasoned potato, steamed veggies, salad and a wonderful chocolate cake! Yum... then of course, we commenced drinking. Live entertainment was a Sprit table set up by Jeannette Barker, she has all of our old photo albums, commons lane too, north sweats, jackets, hats, Frisbees, class photos, you name it she had it all set up for our Sprit table. UNBELIBALE that it was all in impeccable condition, mine certainly is not! We have had 11 fallen classmates from the class of 1987 and each and every one of them held a spot on our Memory table, Highlighted with candles and roses it was a touching way to remember them. Back in High school Jeff Bowman would carry around his HUGE dinosaur camcorder and run around and tape everything, he had a T.V set up at the reunion to play all night and it was a great video and conversation spot. All of the classmates were on the tape, parents too, the entire graduation, after parties, sport events, it was crazy to see us all so young. It was an admirable thing that he did way back when that we all appreciated very much now. Several of our classmates stepped up to help and a special Thanks goes to them, the reunion was ran like a well-oiled machine! The evening commenced with dancing and conversations thru the night, and when the lights went on we resumed on the pool patio for another 3:30 nightcap... to anyone that was there this year, Thank you for coming and to those who could not make it, Make sure you do not miss it next time!
20 years and Soaring!
