Fred Strickroot, SFR, CHP, C-REPS, Lic. Real Estate Broker, HomeNet, HomeNetYOUTeam, Tampa Bay Area Homes for Sale I just have to let everyone know how psyched I am about becoming a RainMaker today. There is much to learn, but I have come a long way since starting the activerain adventure just one month ago. I have a lot to share about my experiences in real estate, and I have learned a lot from all the other activerain members who are so open and willing to share their experiences in the real estate industry. It is great to be part of something refreshing, enlightening, and super-charged such as the activerain community. There is no doubt in my mind that the affilitation is going to take my professionalism and business to levels that I have never thought possible, and enable me to build great new friendships.

William, not yet but I have been seriously considering it lately, which is why I joined the iPad group to learn from the experiences other members are having. I think it would make a much better accessory for listing appointments than my notebook, and I am sure there are many other great uses. I currently use the Droid X, but I am eyeballing the IPhone for my next upgrade. Thank you for your comments.

Fred - I just have the first versiion of the iPad, but it gave me such an advantage in my listing presentations. No big intimidating laptop to set up. Just a flat little screen that you set down on the coffee table as you are talking and then, "Would you like to see how I'd market your home?" and you're off the races. It takes the dutiful drudgiing through slides out of the picture. You can ignore the iPad to have a discussion and then redivert their attention to the iPad. It's less liks giving a presentation and more like a discussion with audiovisual support.

Fred - Congrats on becoming a Rainmaker. You'll find blogging to be an excellent source of business. Since, you're already a Droid user, I would recommend taking a look at the many Droid tablets available. The Acer tablets are powerful and priced well. The Droid OS is often more compatible with the local MLS and virtual tours which is something to consider.
