Senior Housing News Update

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty Plano
The average occupancy rate for senior housing properties rose during the first quarter of 2011. Assisted living properties was unchanged from the previous quarter, while independent living properties rose in the same time period. Rent growth for senior housing continues to be up from the same period last year. Even though the growth has been steady you must remember that if your loved ones will be occupying an assisted living or independent living property, it is important to know who the management company is and how the company is rated. Also to take into consideration is how long the employees and medical staffing have been on board with the company. What services in addition to rehab and skilled nursing is available, security and activities. For further information please contact dianalevin@kw.com or http://www.fortworthagent.com

Hi Diane,

I found your info interesting, yet not a suprise when it comes to senior housing. As we all get older (as an aging boomer myself) and live longer many different alternative housing sources/services will be needed.
