Here we not only have wiring issues....but it seems as though the termites have had a field day with the joist!
Just another reason to have those crawl spaces inspected from time to time and to have a certified pest inspection each and every year!

Hi Rob, the sellers will not be happy with the results of this home inspection. I am sure the buyers are not thrilled with the results either. Termites...ugh!!!

Oh my, better that stuff is found and addressed. When you think about all the cases where termites go untreated/unstopped for years - it can result in pretty major damage.

Rob, Never hurts to have a professional look at the home. I have a fireplace and store wood so we are checked every year. Good advice!

Rob, makes me think home owners should get a home inspection, just for the peace of mind, even if they don't plan on moving. Inspectors are worth their money!
I just listed a house and the owners did a home inspection first before listing. Gave them some peace of mind and a couple of electrical issues to get out of the way before marketing. It's not a bad a idea.

Major termite damage is a conditon that we hate to see. Good reminder to have regular inspections and treatment when needed.

Rob--I find it amazing that the buyer agreed to proceed. This looks like some major damage. Worst termite damage I have seen was when the inspector opened the kitchen cabinet and could poke his finger through the back wall---YIKES! Whole house was that way. Buyer ran as fast as she could!
