We live in a world of hurriedness....is that a word? Every day zooms by as we dash through the drive through window for our meals, on our computers all day for great efficiency and handle all the kids activities as well. Rush, Rush, Rush! When we do this we can't be feeling our best.
We have some tips that will help in keeping fit while on the go!
•1) DO YARD WORK - Mow your lawn, clean out the garden, rake leaves or pull those nasty weeds. Before you hire someone else do these things, think about how much exercise you can get if you did it yourself? There is a perk too....it will give you time away from the hustle & bustle and give you a chance to visit with your neighbors too.
•2) TAKE A WALK - EVEN WHEN YOU DRIVE - When you have reached your destination, you can park out a way so you can have a brisk walk to your destination. We spend a lot of time in our cars so this should be easy to accomplish.
•3) DO HOUSE WORK - Vacuuming is a great form of exercise. Washing windows, running up and down stairs to put things away and bending to wash the baseboards all are great contributors to exercise.
•4) PLANTING/GARDENING - Planting and gardening has a great effect on you mentally and physically. Pushing a wheel barrow loaded with potting soil or plants is great upper body exercise. Digging holes and planting helps your arms. Digging larger holes can help your legs. Home grown veggies can sure taste great and will save you money on groceries as well. This can be very relaxing too!
