HURRICANE PREPAREDNESS!

By
Real Estate Agent with eXp Realty

Growing up in The Bahamas; I have experienced my fair share of HURRICANES.

 hurricane

As children; we were happy to miss school, and excited when a storm threatened

the islands. We secretly admired the steel gray clouds; swollen and heavy with

rain.
Screaming every time a thunder roared, or a lightning striked seemed very KoOL lightening     flood

As I got older I realized the seriousness of hurricanes, and how dangerous, and deadly they can be. My excitement turned to fear pretty quickly, and as a result; I helped my mom prepare for the storms instead of marveling at them.

As a Florida Home-owner protecting your investment should be top priority.

Hi Adell, Having spent part of my life living in Miami, and experiencing many thunderstorms, I can agree that when we are kids storms seem very cool at times. (I still marvel at them today)

Visiting Miami again after Hurricane Andrew and being not able the recognize the neighborhood really drove home how serious mother nature can be.

It's good to have preparedness tips and first-aid kit at the ready.

How long have you been in the New York area? I visited when I was 13, and always wanted to go back. Haven't made it back yet though.

Hi Adell - I have been back here for 20 years - spent grade school and then high school in Miami, with junior in NY. I still have family in Miami and Tampa area - a few more winters here and I'll be looking to return to sunny Fla. at least part time. Be sure to visit NY in the fall or spring when the weather is best ;)

I lived in the Kendall area and by FIU.
