Elizabeth -- We're melting over here, too.  No spring.  Just full speed ahead into summer.  Not complaining though.

The high 90's!!! We're still waiting for the high 60's here!

Yikes, High 90s.  What about humidity?  I'm surprised the poor guy isn't in the water cooling off.

We had rain today and more forecast for this weekend.   That's very, very unusual for us.

Elizabeth, I think that if I were that elephant, I would have gotten into the water to get out of the heat!

Hi Elizabeth, it looks like you were on some high ground looking down to get a shot like that.  I see steps into the water; it would be fun to watch the elephant go in and get out using the steps.  They really are quite grace creatures for their size.

Earlier this week it was high 90s on the east coast, and high 70s here in Tucson.  ...and our humidity was in the 30s...

Elizabeth, the National Zoo is a great place to go for photos.  I need to take another trip over there.

Elizabeth,  I always like zoos so this photo is a treat.  Our temperature actually made it to 60 degrees today so maybe we will get some spring type weather.

Looks like the elephants are living a life of luxury with that pool :)

Look at that sweet smile! I have an affinity for elephants, and even moreso after finding out that according to Surviving Your Own Serengeti, that I TOO am an elephant!

The East Coast has taken over from California.  We are having an incredibly cool year and lots of rain.  This guy should be in his element though.

How odd that the pool has steps in it. The pool at the Zoo here is sloped, just like it would be out in the wild.
