WoW!  One million in my neck of the woods is a bottom of the barrel 2 bedroom if you are lucky.  Location, location, location rings true in any real estate market.

Isn't that so true...It's amazing the homes that you can find in this small village.  My niece lives in NY and can't even afford a studio rental in Manhattan so it's definitely about location.  Of course, if you go look in Chicago for something with over 4,000 sq. ft we are talking a few more million!

Thanks for the comment!

Todays news about Chicago prices won't help for competitive offers.

Thanks for your comment.  I rarely read the news...something about self fulfilling prophecies.  I believe that there is a buyer for every home, you just have to reach out and blog about it!  Serioursly,  you can't believe everything they write and numbers can be spunned to get just the right answer you are looking for.

Those that can afford million dollar homes plus are not looking for an FHA loan...if they have that type of money to afford the home and taxes the news is not going to stop them.

If we belived everything that is on the news our profession would just curl up and forget about doing our jobs.  The sky may be falling for some but ther are others that are still making money.  Less agents, more work, eventually housing will recover like any other product cycle.  You have to live somewhere, right?
