Here We Go Again - Texas is the Best, Greatest, Highest.....

Commercial Real Estate Agent with REATA Commercial Realty, Inc. Texas 537349

I know the poor folks that don't live in Texas get tired of those of us that do bragging about how we're the best, greatest, highest, on whatever the subject at hand might be. Okay, so we need to ignore education, funding for social services, and the like, but for conservative, pro-business types we can truly brag that it is the best place to be for business - low cost of living, central time zone, great climate (sans July & August), amazing airport, on and on.

So here is a little more proof as if any more were needed. The Dallas Fort Worth area created more jobs than anywhere else in the nation with Houston coming in second place. The two created 134,200 jobs in the last 12 months with 83,100 of those in DFW. For the full article you can link to it here.

But wait, there's more. Texas GDP (gross domestic product) is expected to rise by 3.7% for 2011 as predicted by BBVA Compass Bank. That's compared to 3% for the nation as a whole. Here is a link to that full article

So until next time, let's review. Texas is great. You should live here. Move your company here. Okay, so that wasn't a review. Some of that was new.

Oh, and Go Rangers & Go Mavs!

As a Native Texan I heartily concur - TEXAS rocks for sure.  We are fortunate to live in such a great state.

I couldn't agree more!  Whether folks like or don't like Gov Perry, are Republican or Democrat, success is what it is.  You're right that our public schools and such need an overhaul.  I'm a San Antonio girl and have to give you the update from South Texas - our unemployment rate is 7%.  Compared to the nation we are doing well.  Austin is a 6.5% and Dallas is at 7.7%.  Houston has it worst at 8%.  But all of us are better than the national average. Most of it is due to Perry actively recruiting major corporations from around the country.  It's easy to steal from states who hate business and financially punish them with high corporate taxes and such.  If you don't like or know your government policies you should look into it. The GDP for a state is hugely reponsible for your income potential.

Thanks Paula & Cathy. I'm glad to hear that others agree with me about Texas. It's good to hear that all parts of Texas are doing well.
