Home Staging Art is in Your Back Yard

By
Home Stager with Reinventing Space

Fabulous Art is only one snap away for your home staging or interior styling projects.  Get out your camera, dial it to "close-up" and shoot away in your back or front yard.

Download to your favorite photo editing program, adjust, enhance and crop.

Have it printed into a poster, frame it and hang it on your favorite wall!

  • These were shot this morning with my trusty Canon EOS and edited in Picasa.

Yes! Even a series of three photos of the same thing, just different perspectives can make a compelling art display. Love putting them in black frames. Also, if you use Photoshop, you can run a filter from Topaz Labs that can help you turn it into a more artistic rendering - like a painted look. Gorgeous!

Julea - that is a great shot of the June Poppy. You can also slightly defocus, posterize, texturize, etc. with your photo editing program. One recommendation, use a higher resolution for pictures that will be enlarged than for most pictures destined for the internet.

Alison, Great info thanks. Can you run Topaz thru other programs if you're not a Photoshop person? Mike, Yes to all of them - Indeed, these are reduced for the web.

Julea -- what a great idea!  There are lots of beautiful 'works of art' growing in my garden right now so I'd better get out there and try to get a few shots.

Absolutely - Especially if you're having a Broker's open - Talk about telling a story about what the home has to offer!
