The Very Simplest Way to Add Colorful Fonts to Your Blog
.) Listen to some colorful music to get you in the mood.
.) Get a free AOL email account.
.) Open your ActiveRain "Write a Blog" Window. Resize so it only takes up half of the left side of your screen.
.) Open your AOL email window. Click on "Compose". Minimize the mailbox window and resize the "Compose" window so it takes up half of the right side of your screen.
.) Use your imagination, your desktop should look something like this:
.) In your AOL "Compose" window start composing your blog.
.) When finished, highlight all of your blog.
.) Go to tool bar and select the font you want to use.
.) Go to tool bar and select the size you want to use.
.) Go to tool bar and select the color you want to use.
.) If you feel comfortable, now start jazzing it up in different sections of the blog.
.) When your masterpiece is complete, highlight the blog.
.) Warning!!! This is the tricky part. Look to the left of your screen and make sure the compose box is visible on the ActiveRain window.
.) You need to Left click and drag your hardwork across the desktop and deposit it into the ActiveRain box. DON'T LET GO!!!! I promise you will get pissed off if you lose this work. Been there and so done it.
A.) Repeat after me...Copy and Paste won't work...Copy and Paste won't work...remember the pissed off admonition.
.) Good job, isn't it beautiful? Now you can add your imbedded videos, photos, clip art, what ever.
.) Send an ActiveRain message to Sheila Newton and thank her for giving me this little tip. Of course, her instructions to me were "Oh, I just use AOL email"! Then get a message to Jon after you read his instructions for adding a little Flickr pizzazz to your blog - he is the inspiration for this blog!
.) Sheila's K.I.S.S. approach is good...even Zenlike, but what kind of blog would that be?
