Walk This Way! For Northern Nevada Animals this Saturday, June 4, 2011 at the Sparks Marina!
The Nevada Humane Society is hosting the "Walk for Animals" fundraiser event this Saturday and everyone is welcome to attend.
Bring your dog on leash or adopt one for one of Northern Nevada's "no kill" animal shelters.
Come on out to meet a few of the homeless pets that are available to adopt. Currently there are over 10,000 cats and dogs that need a loving and caring home in the Reno and Sparks area.
Donations are greatly appreciated the day of the event, June 4, 2011. With your contribution you will be able to participate in the fun activities that will include:
*A two mile (once around the Marina) walk
*Entertainment
*Prices
*Refreshments
*Meet other Animal Lovers
Donations are accepted at the time of this event or anytime that is convenient. The goal of this one is to raise $100,000 for all the animals. Why so much? Each pet saved cost the Nevada Human Society $240 each. Last year there were nearly 10,000 animals rescued and placed into Nevada homes. At least 10,000 animals still need to be placed. With your support, the Nevada Humane Society can continue its "No Kill" commitment and keep all animals rescued alive and well take care of until they are adopted.
The 2011 "Walk For Animals" event in Nothern Nevada is this Saturday, June 4, at the Sparks Marina from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
