Parking - An Important Selling Feature

Prospective buyers need to know about the parking rictions in Prince William County that will have a positive impact on the value of your property.  The parking regulations that were passed by our Board of Supervisors contain many features that make living in our communities a much safer and more pleasant experience.

  • Streets not lined with unsightly utility and construction trailers.
  • Strees not made narrower when trailers, RV's and boats are parked on both sides of the street
  • Better line of sight when pulling out of a parking space.
  • Child safety enhanced - Rv's and large boat trailers restrict the driver's view of pedestrians, cyclists, skateboarders, etc.

The result of the parking restrictions can be best seen by the view of Cotton Mill Drive in Lake Ridge.

It is important that your REALTOR be aware of local factors that can improve the marketability of your home.

As a 25 year resident of eastern Prince William County and a full time REALTOR with 30 years experienceI have in-depth knowledge of this marketplace.  I know Lake Ridge, Westridge and Old Bridge Estates.

That's something I never considered from that angle before, just look at how appealing the street looks all tree lined without vehicles all over the sides. Thanks!

Good topic! In my area, we have parking restrictions for homes near one of the high schools. In the past, this was always an issue with resale in that particular neighborhood. Finally, signs were posted to allow parking by owners/visitors only. If students park in these areas, the vehicles are towed and driver/owner fined. Believe me, this had made a tremendous impact on the saleability/marketing of homes in this neighborhood.
