North Coast Section Baseball 2011 - James Logan High School

It's no secret that I'm married to a baseball coach.

People who've been around baseball for a long time in the Bay Area typically know "of" if not personally know my husband, John. I was on Facebook last week, and a Facebook Friend said, "You're husband is THAT JOHN GOULDING, WOW, I'm impressed, I didn't put 2 and 2 together. WOW."

This year for the 3rd time Coach Goulding has led the James Logan Varsity team to the final game of the North Coast Section. I'm not sure how many teams are in all the leagues total are in the leagues represented, but I know in the Mission Valley League there are 7, then there are numerous other leagues from Mission Valley League to Eureka, CA that make up the North Coast Section. There is a committee that based on records and league championship 16 teams are selected to play in the NCS league play offs, until you get 2 final teams.

James Logan High School, won the Mission Valley League this year. James Logan Colts under the leadership of Coach Goulding have won the Mission Valley League 16 of the 19 years he's been there.

John has the unique ability to create winning teams by his coaching techniques. John isn't a "yeller" coach. He leads his teams with knowledge and quiet patience.

This year the final game of the NCS Championship won't be held at The Oakland Coliseum as it has been in past years, it will be held at Cal Berkeley. The weather is calling for rain, thunder showers and basically nasty weather. If the game is rained out it will be played Monday, June 5, 2011 at Logan High School.
