Get out of JAIL ........FREE

This post comes about as my 9 yr. old asked me yesterday if I had ever been to the principles office when I was in school.

The answer of coarse was yes and I told her an approximate number as I cannot ( nor would I guess) at the real one as well as some of the reasons why.

Growing up is not an easy task these days. With so much going on and what the kids ( I believe I still am) are into and have access to is mind boggling.

I have always told my kids (5 yes 5 rangeing from 7-28) they have a get out of jail free card (yes stolen from the famous board game)

  You see I may have not been the perfect child ( I know it's hard to believe) but it still was not that long ago that I forget.

So when my oldest ( when he was 17 now 22)son now in the Army crashed threw a farm fence and drove into the pasture swearing (him and his best friend) they were going 34 around that corner before coming to a halt in the field ( I know when the car goes out of control always check to see how fast you are going)he got to use his get out of jail free card.

NO QUESTIONS ASKED........... I didn't care about the car or the damage.......No one was hurt

The moral of this is to be honest, be upfront (as much as you can) and be forgiving. Remember when the time comes, and it will let them use the card...................You may have had one yourself and not known it.
