Mastering The Real Estate Profession

"Perhaps the single most important element

in mastering the techniques and tactics

of racing is experience.

But once you have the fundamentals,

acquiring the experience is a matter of time."

Greg Le Mond, cycling champing

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Mastering the real estate profession

The real estate profession is one that's in a constant state of evolving.

What were once successful strategies or tactics are no longer effective. We find ourselves in a place where what we have done in the past may no longer apply.

Successful real estate professionals have to adjust their approach to the profession and the evolving market conditions. To remain competitive to an evolving professional environment we have to have the right tools and strategies.

We first have to master the tools of the trade and the fundamentals of the real estate profession. Our fundaments become the building blocks of a solid foundation for our business. A solid deep rooted foundation is required to weather to challenges that we encounter. A deep rooted foundation will support the weight of our business in going forward.

The professional who successfully masters the fundamentals and the new basics and has the sharpest tools will create a strategic business advantage. A person that consistently applies the skills will accelerate their success journey.

Mastering the real estate profession is a choice to master the fundamentals of our profession, to become a leader in our field and to become a master our life. In making the commitment to mastery will commit our self to success.

Making Real Estate Profitable

It's the ever evolving aspect that is key here.  I've only been in the business for 6 years so from time to time I get these sarcastic responses from some who are senior to me.... I've been in the business for xx years and ........ I think to myself sure, but those 20 years are reliving the same year every year with no growth. She didn't know that the window treatments, microwave, and wine cooler stay!  I sent her a copy of a listing agreement with the paragraph highlighted.  She had never read that paragraph before.  Wow!  Seller brought it all back and we closed.

I take the time to read my contracrs, learn more tools, and learn about industry changes. It's just being professional.  Thanks for posting.

The real estate industry is constant changing. I like the fact that continually there is something new to learn; it's not like making widgets.  I also like your advice about mastery, Lou.
