Have You Been Recruited By Another Company?

Hi!

I am the Broker/Owner of two Century 21 offices in NY.

I'm curious about what other companies are using to entice agents to interview with their companies.  How are they contacting you as an agent, how often, what are they offering, and what looks interesting?

What brought you to the office you're at today and what keeps you there?

Hello Donna- The Broker/Owner of my office was a client of mine several years ago...an insurance client.  My boss at the insurance agency I ran was going through some personal changes and I decided to review my career options. I was about 23 at the time and didn't really know what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.  I had went to college for accounting, but once completed and back out in the real world I felt restless in the career, not to mention the horrid drive to DC! I decided to give my notice of resignation to my boss at the insurance agency and my Broker-now-Stan, called about his business policy and we began to speak of my decision to leave, and I was explaining who he needed to contact in the future.  He was curious of my leaving and asked if I would come see him.  Long story short, I began my career as his personal assistant.  I did several of his different companies bookkeeping, and got my license in the process and began to sell real estate. He walked me through everything I needed help with and brought me in to many of his commercial and land development deals. I learned more in my first year than many agents do in 5, and out of over 100 agnets, I am 1 of 3 in the office that can handle large developmental projects and commercial properties-thanks only to the time I spent with my Broker. Last year I went on my own, to better position my family financially and because I was ready to take the next step, and he is my best supporter in everything and every challenge we face in this business.  I have had several agencies try to recruit me and have been very interested in some of the offers but I'm young, I still have A LOT to learn, and your never guaranteed anything in any business, but I know if I stay I will always have my Broker to lean on and that is honestly why I stay.

Well let's see why the agency I currently work at ? It is less than 1/2 mile from where I live with National Name recognition is a low key office. Recruitment wow last one was First Team and I swear the Broker got my name because I was doing a deal with there office. He went on and on about the millions they spend per month in advertising, which I have seen Real Estate Ad's and I am not impressed they fill the papers and in our area really do not make the phones ring in the current market. Blogging and my website are making the phones ring.

I was curious and saw some other offices online and clicked on there contact info. You know I never did hear from them. Like the Lights Where on and No one Was Home....
