Two negative don't equal a positive
Two negative don't equal a positive, at least not when it comes to people. Have you ever listened to two people discuss everything that is wrong with the world? No matter what the subject there is always bad stuff associated with it as far as their concerned. It's like watching a giant black hole and every positive element being sucked into it. As the conversation proceeds you're just waiting for that black cloud to form on top of them, then you realize it's already there and it's about to pour down rain. So you slowly inch away so you won't get wet, but it's too late because they've already showered you with all that negative energy.
Negative people have a knack for sucking you in and then suck the life right out of you. They should come with warning signs plastered to their foreheads. Since they don't come with warning signs, you need to be careful and head for the hills at the first sign of negative energy, or they'll feed on your brain like zombies.
Abraham Lincoln once said "we can complain that rose bushes have thorns or we can rejoice that thorn bushes have roses". That was one incredibly intelligent human being that looked at the positive side of things and we need to live by those words. I try very hard to live by his wisdom, but those pesky negatives keep showing up.
So I've decided to eliminate all the negatives in my life and start hanging around the positives, because among other things, they're a lot more fun.
The positives won't try to convince me that something can't be done, or that I don't have capabilities or abilities to achieve my goals. Just the opposite they will encourage me and sometimes even help me formulate a plan to get there. I like positives and I'm sticking with them, so say goodbye negatives cause I'll soon be just a memory.
Who do you hang around with?
