Dobbs Ferry Waterfront jazz concerts

I am not a big jazz fan, but I always loved attending the free Wednesday night concerts on the banks of the Hudson River when I lived in Dobbs Ferry. I bet you will too!

 

Concerts are held every Wednesday from 6:30pm to 8pm at the Dobbs Ferry Waterfront Park.  Come with a blanket or chairs and bring your dinner and beverages with you.  Sitting on a blanket near the beautiful Hudson river, watching boats go up and down the river with the sun sinking in the sky, while live music plays in the open air is an awesome experience. 

 

So it doesn't matter if you prefer soft rock, blues, acoustic guitar and pop music (as I do)!  If you attend a free jazz concert at the Dobbs Ferry Waterfront Park, you will not be sorry.

We have open air concerts here too during the summer...people bring picnic baskets, wine and blankets...it is always so relaxing...

Cindy - It is!  All the young kids are running around having a blast, parents get to relax, couples get to snuggle, etc.  It's nice to see people enjoying themselves (and SMILING)

Kathleen- who could pass up an outdoor concert in that setting!! I think it would be so much fun to sit with a picnic basket and enjoy the music.

Kathy - I know!  You should fly up some Wednesday!  OK, I know that's somewhat unrealistic, but it definitely is beautiful!

One of my favorite things to do in the summer is attend one of our outdoor concerts -- could be jazz, rock and roll, salsa, rhythm and blues. It doesn't matter -- it's a joyous experience. Definitely one of the pluses about living in a small island city.

Enjoy the music and enjoy communing with nature :)
