Dear Lori, I have a friend renting a house in Chestnut Hill with a daughter going into the 6th grade.  She has been at Springside but this is unaffordable for my friend Bobbi.  I suggested they move to the other side of Stenton Ave. and look into the public school system.  Bobbi is really busy with work so I volunteered to look into options for her.  Do you have suggestions on where she should move (most likely she wants a rental again for awhile), and is it even possible for her to get her daughter enrolled in the 6th grade in Montgomery county for next fall?   Thanks for this blog!!  Simone

hi Simone, Bobbi is fortunate to live so close to many great suburban middle schools and have a friend so willing to help! the four districts that I would focus on for her would be Springfield, Upper Dublin, Colonial, and wissahickon. they are all close to chestnut hill where they probably have a nice network of friends and have solid reputations. I imagine that they all have rolling enrollment too but a quick call to their administrative offices could provide you accurate information regarding the process. good luck!
