Well easier said than done for most people. I am one of those that usually needs a second bite at the apple and with some things probably two or three more....Think about this for a moment. I have never been here (life) before. I am on one huge life learning curve. So, how am I supposed to know what to do and BINGO..its done right
FIRST REAL ESTATE PAPERWORK
When I wrote up my first Real Estate offer, I used the wrong forms. After going through several wrong forms, I didn't fill it out completely and left blanks. What I did fill out was wrong. After a few of what it is not, I finally got what it should be. This took some time
FIRST DRIVING LESSON
I remember learning to drive. I watched others and saw how effortless it was. I can drive no problem. Got behind the wheel, you accelerate and off you go. What shocked me was that you need to brake, turn, steer, and accelerate requiring coordination, timing and experience. This would take time.
FIRST VACATION
I remember going on my first vacation. I never traveled before. I packed everything that it took for me to live like I live NOW...anywhere I go. I find out that my suitcase weighs a ton. I also find out 3/4 of what I packed not needed. My mind said one thing, but practicality and experience says another. I learned
FIRST COOKING EXPERIENCE
First time I cooked something up, I did not know you needed to oil or butter the pan. Not only did the food stick, but it burnt, smoked, and stunk. Whats that smell?...... someone yells and I yell back..OH NOTHING while scrambling toward the sink to put out the dish and scrub away the evidence. I got this eventually..
FIRST CAR WASH
First time I washed a car, I didn't know there was a rhyme and rhythm to it. I just started washing everything near where I was standing, Later on I learned it is supposed to be washed from the top down and the wheels go last. Furthermore, you don't wait for the wind to dry it off either. I am OK now
FIRST LAWN CUTTING
The first time I cut a lawn with a gas mower, I thought that it did all the work and you just guided it. First off, I never picked up dog poo, I just mowed over it thinking it would disperse it. Well it did, but not how I thought. Then, mowers don't do well on dirt either. Lastly, it never occurred to me to pick up the cuttings as I thought the wind would take care of that.
MISCELLANEOUS
I have quite few other firsts that I am not able to share because of the nature of the subject matter...but I figured those out too....!
