Earlier this year First Lady Michelle Obama and Dr. Jill Biden announced the launch of "Joining Forces," a national initiative that mobilizes all sectors of society to give our service members and their families the opportunities and support they have earned.
The idea of support behind this initiative is one that is truly valued by the Best Agent Business family each and every day. Best Agent Business encourages us to "pay-it-forward." Examples include our recent social initiatives of "Ghosting It Forward" and "Thank You Forward." Best Agent Business currently has thirteen "Ishidos" (a term used for those workers who have reached a rank of over 100 hours and have completed additional requirements) who work for both Best Agent Business and Lifebushido (the company of which Best Agent Business is a part) and ten of these thirteen are military spouses. The type of work done for Lifebushido and Best Agent Business is perfect for those of us who are in this "military spouse" category.
The Lifebushido and Best Agent Business families allow each of us military Ishidos to focus on our unique family situation. Many of us face deployments of our spouses on a yearly basis while juggling our children as "single parents." At any point in the year, at least one of our military Ishidos has a spouse deployed overseas.
If you are a current client of Lifebushido or Best Agent Business, at least one of our military Ishidos has sent you an email or does work for you. We are your Team Leaders, your Key Assistants, your Listing Assistants, and your Lead Management Assistants. It is through this unique opportunity of working virtually that we are able to move from one duty location to another without the concern of being able to continue our financially contributions to our families at the new duty location.
Those of you who use virtual assistants may not realize the part you could be playing in the support of a military family. But as one of the many military spouses working as a virtual assistant, I say "thank you!" It is only with the support of many people that we survive this situation. For example, a man that came to my house a few weeks ago to deliver a bouncy house for my son and his friends to play in at a party and told my husband, "Thank You." Two simple words that mean so much to us. As spouses, we watch our loved ones leave for anywhere from six to eighteen months and we go for days on end with no contact. Without the people that check in on us or help when all the little emergencies pop up like hot water heaters dying; life would be so much more difficult.
As a military wife, I appreciate this new program of "Joining Forces" and I urge everybody to take a few minutes and go to Joining Forces, to see how you can help and share a story of what you have done to support our military. The next time you talk to one of our military Ishidos, or cross paths with a military spouse or somebody in uniform, remember a simple "Thank You" can really change how a day goes. In that spirit, take a minute to visit Lifebushido's Thank You Forward site and send out a thank you to someone who has touched your life. You never know when that thank you could change somebody's day or even change their life!
I appreciate the opportunities that Best Agent Business has allowed me to take advantage of as a military spouse and I appreciate the values of the business in "paying it forward."
In the same spirit that Best Agent Business cares about providing flexibility for military spouses, they care about the flexibility and support they provide to clients.
