How Much Money is in the Pot?
So how lucky do you feel? Any guesses as to how much money is in the pot?
For years, I take all my loose change at the end of the day, and throw it into this old honey jar. When it is full, I count the change and do something useful with it. Seeing as how I will be going out of town soon, I thought that it just might make some cool spending money.
So how lucky do you feel? Any guesses? The closest guess without going over will win accolades from me and the rest of your ActiveRain friends. I will give the answer tomorrow...
LOL, I came over because Praful did the reblog. So, I'm saying $672,39. What fun!!!
Revising my guess based on the hint ... I'll up my total to $663.11. This really gives new meaning to 'spare change'!
It is amazing how pocket change can add up. There was $696.42 in the jar. The closest guess was, Ta Dah ~ Cindy from Indy!!!! Congrats Cindy!!! Thanks for playing y'all...
Well, you said you were going to give the answer tomorrow (which is today). It's tomorrow!
My guess is $19.53.
Am I close?
At first glance most people might think the amount is something over $69... um, 6 or so. But I'm sticking with $19.53.
That was a VERY good year...
Damn was I off! how big is that jar?! lol. Congrats on a nice chunk of cold hard coin!
REALLY! Good God! I am going to get me a Honey Jar!!! Wow was I waaay wrong!
Michael, I had a 1 Kg Kraft Peanut Butter Plastic Bottle that I used to collect coins in, 3/4 filled it had over $450.00, but we have loonies and toonies in Canada ($1 and $2 coins).
I was going to guess about $500., so I was off quite a bit...
Michael...I'll say $692.46.....I gotta go count mine now.....Thanks!
Hope you have a great weekend!---Rob
Go Vols!
Too fun Post Michael!
I save all my change throughout the year in a big cookie jar crock my son made in school many years ago. I give it to my grandchildren after Thanksgiving every year to cash in, divide evenly and spend on Christmas gifts.
We all make a great time of it!
I've never been rich enough to throw money around. It stays in my pocket. By always keeping change in my pocket, I can pay for parking at the meters downtown, pay for those small things like a Three Musketeers bar at the checkout line, etc. Also, if you put your money in the bank, you can at least earn a little interest on it, something that doesn't happen when it's sitting in a jar.
Michael, missed by few dollars only, I was going to type $693,74 and somehow missed '9'...(do you believe it? Please don't!)
How frequently you 'top' of the jar? When is the next guessing game? (You should request ActiveGods to award bonus points for this game...and this one, you should believe - I am serious!)
Hey Michael, that was fun -- what a range of guesses. Enjoy your vacation!
Thanks to Praful for reblogging...
$696.42 would have been my guess..ha! Not...would have thought much less. Cute post and I like the way you engaged the members.
Happy Birthday Judith!
Margaret
Michael I am not at all surprised that Cindy in Indy made the best guess. That's her accounting background rearing its head. Congrats Cindy.
