Anne - Since my son is full grown, I haven't joined a pool in years - however with the heat we've been having, I'm seriously thinking about it. How cool your town pool shows movies - every parent's dream! BTW - look for an email today...

Anne - what a great idea to have a movie night at the local pool!  That's one of the really cool things about AR - learning about how other communities celebrate and being able to take these ideas forward into our own town!

Kristine: We haven't belonged to a pool in years as my kids are all grown as well. All of the activities were tons of fun. The kids made a lot of friends and there were always adults to chat with as well. I miss those simpler days.

Karen: I have belonged to other pools that did the same thing.  It's not unusual in this area.

K & A: The funniest thing is when the projector broke or they had to change the reel. The kids and parents all thought it wasa ply to give the snack bar more business.  Times have sure changed.

Great local community post. Lucky to own a Maine lake place and it was important the kids learned to swim like fish, grow up around water. To respect it and be able to feel comfortable in it. All four kids worked their up thru the Red Cross certifications. Could be a job some day as a life guard, swimming instructor to help with the bills too!

Andrew: My kids learned to swim and refined their skills at the local community pool, and when that did not offer enough "swim time", we moved to two different private pools. The participation on the swim team and the camraderie with friends, teammates and competitiors brought a lot of joy. It's been years since I have been swimming standing in a lake. They were fun days!

Barbara: I agree. Everyone is a safe environmwent, but usually enough room for the kids to have their own space. I miss those days.

Tim: I agree. Falls Township offers it at a very affordable price too!
