update on missing teen

A few days ago I asked everyone's assistsance in locating a missing teen.  Samantha Bittler has been found, unfortunately she had a car accident and was at the bottom of a 35'+ drop off.  The speculation is that a deer ran in front of her.  She was not wearing her seat belt and was thrown from the car.  Her car and her body lay there for 10 days in extreme heat for this season.  Nothing from the highway gave clue that her lifeless body was so close to all that were looking for her.  This has been a horrible experience for all that knew and loved her.

Today, we will have her funeral and celebration of her life.  Her family has found comfort in a couple things:  she died instantly and she was enroute home.  In fact, she was within 10 miles of her home.  If there is anything at all to be learned from this tragedy, it is once again to beg everyone to wear their seat belts.  Seat Belts do not always save the lives, but there are more that could have been saved wearing them than not.

Thank you to everyone that assisted us in looking for her.  Her family is so appreciative of all that helped in anyway of looking and praying.  The State Police have stated that she had been at the bottom of this embankment from the day she went missing.  It was so filled with trees and underbrush and nothing appeared disturbed, and there was a guard rail there....undisturbed.  It is the thought of the police that she entered the area just prior to the guard rail and then down the embankment.

Again, thank you for your concern....and please buckle up.
