Lanky comedian Brad Garrett's home in Southern California just hit the Malibu real estate market for $13.95 million. The oversized Spanish villa was home for the tall, 6-foot-8 "Everybody Loves Raymond" star since 2007.
Garrett got his start in stand-up comedy, winning "Star Search" in 1982 and performing on "The Tonight Show" at age 23. From there he opened for legends like Diana Ross and Liza Minnelli and headlined shows in several Las Vegas hotels. Following his comedic success, he moved into television and earned critical acclaim as the jealous older brother of Ray Barone (played by Ray Romano) in the Emmy Award-winning sitcom "Everybody Loves Raymond."
Garrett has also provided voices in popular animated films like "Casper the Friendly Ghost," "A Bug's Life" and "Finding Nemo."
Situated on the Encinal Bluffs on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, Garrett's property sprawls out over nearly an acre with views of the Pacific Ocean. The 4-bedroom, 5-bedroom home has over 6,500 square feet of living space and includes high-end amenities like vaulted ceilings, sound surround system through the home, Travertine and wood floors and a curved staircase accented with mosaic tiling. Built in 2005, the house features a gourmet "chef's kitchen" with stainless steel appliances, formal office, and two 2-car garages. Sliding doors open up to expansive patios leading to a heated pool and spa.
Located only an hour south of Hollywood, several stars - both actors and musicians - call this part of Malibu home, including Sally Field, Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne and Mel Gibson, among others. The celeb-studded neighbors, perfect beach views and SoCal location helps the median Malibu home values weigh in at a healthy $1,540,500.
